30 Days Of Llama – Day One

In an effort to post more, to get myself back into the routine of posting – and to give me something to post about, I’m going down the route of one of those ’30 day memes’… so here goes!

Day 01 — Your favorite song

Why do these things always have to start with ‘your favourite song’?

Um. OK. So for all time favourite song it’s toss up between two for me:
Meat Loaf – Rock & Roll Dreams
Goo Goo Dolls – Slide

what you feel is what you are and what you are is beautiful
Slide is the song that has saved my life on many occasions. I’ve been lucky enough to tell the guys how much it means to me and what it’s done for me. I cried while telling them and Johnny just pulls me into this hug, says “don’t cry doll” and tells me how much he appreciated me telling them and it felt like he cared
I still cry every single damn time I hear the song. And I want to get that lyric tattooed, but I don’t know where

You’re never alone cause you can put on the phones and let the drummer tell your heart what to do
Rock & Roll Dreams… it just sums up how powerful and moving and evocative music can be. How there’s always a song for your moment, for your mood, for what you’re feeling and that it’s ok to let it sweep you away.

Now, my two current favourite songs are
Lindsey Stirling – Roundtable Rival
Delta Rae – Dance In The Graveyard
(OK so they’re not necessarily current songs – but they’re songs I’m really loving a lot right now)

For something completely different again, the song I’ve had stuck in my head for the last like week or so is Miley Cyrus – See You Again

And yes I’m completely aware that my music taste is utterly batshit LMAO

My month in music – March 2016

I did this last month and found it pretty interesting, so am going to try and make it a semi-regular thing.

According to my last.fm stats, my 10 most listened to artists in March 2016 are:
Britney Spears
Raintown
Enya
Gary Allan
Guns N’ Roses
Hannah Montana
Heart
Claydon Connor
Jack Johnson
Paramore

… I’m not even sure I should be admitting to some of those *side-eyes list* But anyway, we have pop, country, new age, hard rock, disney, classic rock and pop punk.

And my most played track of the month?

What have you been listening to lately?
