30 Days Of Llama – Day 3

Mental health wise I’m not doing so well right now. I’ve been very stressed the last couple of weeks – work’s been insane and poor Lotte needed quite a lot of repairs doing on her. I’m starting to come out the other side but I’m still feeling quite… meh

I’m going to move swiftly on to day 3 of this meme which is Your favorite television program

See. Kneejerk reaction is Stargate SG1. Followed by Stargate Atlantis. Because LOVE. I think I’ve covered plenty of times how much that show’s helped me over the last couple years
The sheer amount of love I have for Jack and Daniel and Sam and Teal’c and Hammond and Fraiser and Mitchell and Vala and Sheppard and McKay and Beckett and Lorne…

But then I factor in the fact I’ve been doing an NCIS rewatch and falling in love with Gibbs & DiNozzo & Ducky all over again. Throw in LA and NO and they’re the shows I’m the closest to being completely up-to-date on.

There’s also the new shows that I’ve fallen for this year. Lucifer. Lethal Weapon. MacGyver. Pure Genius. Bull.

And we can’t forget the returning loves. The Librarians. Bones. Castle. Criminal Minds. Supernatural. Arrow. Agents Of SHIELD. iZombie. The Mentalist. Killjoys. Dark Matter. Saving Hope. Hawaii Five-0. Fringe. Haven. Elementary.

Of course then you have all All Time Favourites, the ones I always go back to no matter how many times I’ve watched them. Buffy. CSI. Charmed. Dukes Of Hazzard. Sanctuary. MacGyver. Leverage. White Collar. House. Farscape. Firefly. Star Trek.

The last things I watched were Criminal Minds, Ransom, Quantico, Pure Genius, Proof and Once Upon A Time
Right now I’m about to press play on the 1×01 of Rectify.

… I believe this post is mostly known as ‘Cassie watches far too much on TV’.

30 Days Of Llama – Day 2

Day 02 — Your favorite movie

Star Wars.

That seems a bit of a short answer though, doesn’t it?

Star Wars is one of the first films I remember watching. I clearly recall sitting in my parents living room watching the medal ceremony on Yavin IV. I remember playing Star Wars in the playground and loving the fact that being the girl still meant I got to be awesome and help save the day. I remember getting to see the trilogy on the big screen when the remastered came out.. and just seeing that scroll and hearing that music actually reduced me to tears. I still get moved with fannish glee every time.

I even like the prequel trilogy. Never got the memo that I wasn’t supposed to.

Other top movie loves include Jurassic Park, Stigmata, Empire Records, Velvet Goldmine, Resident Evil, MCU, Stargate, the SG1 movies, Notting Hill, Mission Impossible, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers.

I have serious love for really bad horror/sci-fi movies. SyFy movies. Things like Sharknado, Voodoo Academy, Mega Snake, Boa Vs Python, Iron Invader, Ferocious Planet, Arctic Blast, Lost Treasures Of The Grand Canyon…

I also have a soft spot for – and I can’t believe I’m going to admit this outloud – but Hallmark movies. Murder She Baked, Garage Sale Mystery, Wedding Bells, Irresistible Bluberry Farm, The Bouquet, Growin The Big One…

And yes, I’m aware my taste in movies sucks but I enjoy them damnit!

30 Days Of Llama – Day One

In an effort to post more, to get myself back into the routine of posting – and to give me something to post about, I’m going down the route of one of those ’30 day memes’… so here goes!

Day 01 — Your favorite song

Why do these things always have to start with ‘your favourite song’?

Um. OK. So for all time favourite song it’s toss up between two for me:
Meat Loaf – Rock & Roll Dreams
Goo Goo Dolls – Slide

what you feel is what you are and what you are is beautiful
Slide is the song that has saved my life on many occasions. I’ve been lucky enough to tell the guys how much it means to me and what it’s done for me. I cried while telling them and Johnny just pulls me into this hug, says “don’t cry doll” and tells me how much he appreciated me telling them and it felt like he cared
I still cry every single damn time I hear the song. And I want to get that lyric tattooed, but I don’t know where

You’re never alone cause you can put on the phones and let the drummer tell your heart what to do
Rock & Roll Dreams… it just sums up how powerful and moving and evocative music can be. How there’s always a song for your moment, for your mood, for what you’re feeling and that it’s ok to let it sweep you away.

Now, my two current favourite songs are
Lindsey Stirling – Roundtable Rival
Delta Rae – Dance In The Graveyard
(OK so they’re not necessarily current songs – but they’re songs I’m really loving a lot right now)

For something completely different again, the song I’ve had stuck in my head for the last like week or so is Miley Cyrus – See You Again

And yes I’m completely aware that my music taste is utterly batshit LMAO
